«Procurement takes forever.» «Requests always arrive incomplete and needed yesterday.» If you have ever heard, or said, one of these sentences, this course is for you. Designed for requisitioners, technical and programme teams and buyers, it shows how to work together to buy well and on time. You will distinguish the responsibilities of whoever defines the need, whoever approves, whoever buys and whoever receives, with a RACI matrix and clear rules for contact with suppliers. You will learn to plan needs well in advance, taking into account the real lead times of the purchasing process and of delivery, with an annual plan, framework agreements, planning meetings and an Excel planner to download. Finally, you will resolve typical conflict situations, such as incomplete requests, urgent requests and purchases made without an order, and learn about internal service level agreements and continuous improvement. With a fictitious company, a branching scenario and interactive activities.
