A fuel depot receives, stores and dispatches millions of litres of petrol, diesel, jet fuel and LPG every day, and a single error in line-up, gauging or quality can turn into a tank overfill, a fire or an off-specification batch. In this intermediate course for depot operators and managers and downstream logistics staff, you follow Marta, a shift supervisor at a fictitious Nova Rota Energia depot, and her team. Describe fixed and floating roof tanks, LPG spheres, bunds, pumps and manifolds, hazardous areas and foam and cooling systems. Apply overfill prevention measures for receipts by pipeline, ship and truck and for bottom loading of road tankers, with the lessons of Buncefield. Reconcile stocks from tank gauging in a spreadsheet, control product quality from sampling to product changeover, and apply the depot's safety and emergency rules in a case study. The content is aligned with API Std 2350 and API Std 2610. A theory course: it does not replace certified practical training in gas testing, tank entry, truck loading or firefighting. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
