Every day an offshore rig consumes tubulars, fluids, cement, water, fuel, food and spare parts, and sends back waste, empty containers and equipment. All of it passes through an onshore supply base and supply vessels. This Level 2 course shows you how this chain works: the organisation of the supply base, with quays, warehouses, pipe yard, bulk materials and port security (ISPS Code); support vessels (PSV, AHTS, crew boats), their capacity, chartering and vessel sharing; certified offshore cargo carrying units, lashing, weights and outbound and backload cargo manifests; the carriage of dangerous goods under the IMDG Code; and the planning of marine and air transport, with priorities, cut-off times and performance indicators. It includes hotspots, drag-and-drop, a software simulation, a decision scenario and a case study. It does not replace mandatory dangerous goods training or your installation's procedures. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
