The cheapest bid is not always the best, and the best is not always the one that looks it. This course teaches you to evaluate bids in an objective, well-founded and defensible way. You will set admission and scoring criteria consistent with the purchasing strategy, evaluate technical bids independently using grids and scales, compare commercial bids on an equivalent basis (arithmetic checks, deviations, currency, Incoterms®, payment terms and total cost), calculate the final score with different price-scoring methods and test how robust the result is. Finally, you will write the award report and communicate the results to bidders, including the debriefing for unsuccessful bidders. Follow the evaluation committee of a fictitious engineering company as it buys generator sets with maintenance, with two Excel exercises, decision scenarios and ready-to-use templates. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
