A weak supplier can stop a production line, compromise safety or damage a company's reputation. A strong supplier can be a source of innovation and competitive advantage. This Level 2 course teaches you to qualify suppliers and manage their performance across the whole cycle. You will pre-qualify suppliers against technical, financial, health, safety and environment, and integrity criteria, and maintain an approved supplier list. You will plan and conduct a supplier audit, with an approach aligned with the ISO 19011 guidelines. You will build a scorecard with balanced indicators, such as on-time in-full delivery (OTIF), set up improvement plans and decide when to replace a supplier. And you will apply a supplier relationship management (SRM) model to strategic suppliers. With a pre-qualification checklist, hotspots, an Excel exercise, a decision scenario and a case study.
