People who work on rotation, on remote projects or who travel frequently are exposed to health risks they do not face at home: malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases, contaminated water and food, intense heat and dangerous roads. In this course you will learn to prepare a work trip from a health point of view, to apply the four malaria prevention rules recommended by the World Health Organization, to respond correctly to a fever during or after the trip and to prevent water- and food-borne diseases. Based on the WHO publication "International travel and health" and its guidance on malaria, it includes examples from building sites, camps and platforms, a decision scenario and a preparation checklist. The course does not replace individual medical advice. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
