The greatest hazard at an oil and gas facility is often inside the pipes: flammable, sometimes toxic hydrocarbons, in large quantities and under pressure. This awareness course shows what can go wrong when there is a loss of containment (jet fires, pool fires, vapour cloud explosions and H2S releases) and where leaks occur on a facility. It presents the IOGP's 10 Process Safety Fundamentals one by one and their link with the Life-Saving Rules, and, during a night shift on a fictitious FPSO, trains the decisions that make the difference: recognising weak signals, opening containment only with verified isolation, reporting near misses and Tier 1 and Tier 2 events, and using the authority to stop work. Aligned with IOGP Reports 638, 544 and 456. It complements course SST-115 without repeating it. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
What you will learn

- Relate each of the IOGP's 10 Process Safety Fundamentals to real workplace situations.
- Decide when to stop, report and escalate in the face of weak signals during an operating shift.
