Signing the contract is only the beginning: it is during delivery that the value you negotiated is won or lost. This Level 2 course teaches you to administer a contract after award in an organised, defensible way. You will prepare the handover from tender to delivery, with the contract management plan, the obligations matrix, the kick-off meeting and the documents and guarantees required before work starts. You will monitor obligations and performance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels (SLAs), reports, meetings, formal notices and the handling of non-conformities. You will manage changes to scope, time and price within the limits of the contract and the delegation of authority, control guarantees, advance payments, retentions and invoices and, at the end, close the contract with the reconciliation of accounts, the supplier evaluation and the lessons learned. With an obligations matrix and an invoicing exercise in Excel, hotspots, a decision scenario and a case study. The examples use fictitious companies and figures; what counts is always what your contract and the applicable law say.
