A wet floor, a cable across a corridor or a poorly lit staircase is all it takes to cause an injury that keeps someone off work for weeks. In this course you will understand why we slip, trip and fall, apply simple housekeeping rules at the workstation and on site, and check floors, stairs, lighting and footwear before they become a problem. Based on ILO guidance, ISO 7010 safety signs and the UK HSE guide "Preventing slips and trips at work" as a reference for good practice, it includes examples from warehouses, workshops, building sites and offices, interactive activities and a housekeeping checklist to use in the field. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
