Before stepping onto a site, into a warehouse or an office, everyone needs to speak the same safety language. This HSE induction, based on international standards (ISO 45001 and ILO conventions), prepares employees, supervisors and contractors to recognise hazards, assess risks, apply the hierarchy of controls, follow the golden rules and use their authority to stop work whenever something is not safe. With everyday examples from offices, factories, warehouses and building sites, decision scenarios and interactive exercises, you will also learn to report near misses and act correctly in an emergency. An hour and a half that can save a life — including yours. The course is delivered in Portuguese.

What you will learn

• Explain why safety is a responsibility shared by the company and every employee.
• Tell hazard from risk and identify the most common physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial hazards.
• Apply the hierarchy of controls to propose risk-reduction measures.
• Follow the golden rules and use Stop Work Authority.
• Report incidents and near misses through the right channels.
• Respond correctly to an alarm, an evacuation and the muster point.
