Opening a new branch, rolling out an IT system, organising a conference or moving premises: every organisation runs on projects. In this introductory course you will learn to tell a project apart from day-to-day operations, understand the triple constraint of scope, time and cost, work through the life cycle phases from initiation to closure, identify the key roles and analyse stakeholders with a power/interest grid. You will also use four simple, effective tools: the project charter, the work breakdown structure (WBS), the Gantt chart and the risk register. You will follow Inês, project manager for Atlântico Engenharia's New Headquarters project, and practise with downloadable templates. Based on international references such as ISO 21502, PMI's PMBOK® Guide, PRINCE2® and the Scrum Guide, the course gives you a common language for working on projects in any sector and any country. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
