Natural gas is no longer a nuisance burned in flares but a valuable product that generates electricity, powers industries and crosses oceans in LNG carriers. In this advanced course, you follow the fictitious teams of the Baía Serena LNG Terminal and Atlântico Sul Petróleos along the whole value chain: types of gas, units and regional markets; gas treatment, with removal of CO₂, H₂S, water and mercury and natural gas liquids recovery; liquefaction, cryogenic tanks and the risks of LNG; shipping, boil-off, loading of carriers and regasification onshore and on FSRUs; contractual structures, with take-or-pay, FOB and DES terms and price indexation; and the options for using associated gas instead of flaring it. Content aligned with the IMO IGC Code, ISO 16903:2015 and the World Bank's Zero Routine Flaring by 2030 initiative. Illustrative figures; it is not commercial, legal or investment advice. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
