Recommended prerequisite: SST-112 Housekeeping and Prevention of Slips, Trips and Falls
Hazards do not wait for the audit: a removed guard, a blocked fire extinguisher or a locked exit appear little by little, while work goes on. In this course for supervisors, HSE technicians and safety committee members, you follow a fictitious logistics company in its warehouse, its fleet workshop and the building site of a new hall. Distinguish the types of inspection (pre-use, routine, topic, management and statutory examinations by a competent person) and the difference between inspection and audit, together with the role of the safety committee. Plan an inspection programme with a frequency set by risk and design useful checklists, knowing their limits. Inspect in the field: people, equipment, environment, housekeeping, signage and emergency equipment, talking to workers and recording conditions and behaviours. Finally, classify non-conformities by risk, write the report and follow up the actions through to closure, verifying effectiveness and analysing trends. Aligned with ISO 45001 and UK HSE guidance HSG65. Includes an inspection programme in Excel, checklists and a non-conformity log. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
