A pump stopped while waiting for a seal can cost days of production; a warehouse full of parts nobody uses ties up capital for years. This course teaches you to manage materials and spare parts in oil and gas operations with technical judgement. You will classify maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) materials by criticality, distinguish insurance spares from capital spares and link them to the maintenance plan. You will get to know oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and the information needed to buy them under the API 5CT and API 5DP specifications, check material certificates under EN 10204 and ensure traceability through the heat number. Finally, you will apply preservation routines to stored equipment and set stock levels for long lead time materials in remote and offshore operations. With case studies, a preservation checklist and an Excel exercise. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
