Leading the procurement function is much more than managing a team of buyers: it means defining the function's mandate, choosing the organisational model, writing the rules of the game, measuring performance, ensuring control and integrity and showing the board the value that procurement creates. In this advanced course you follow Nzinga, newly appointed procurement director of Grupo Meridional, a fictitious industrial group with factories, warehouses and services. You will analyse the positioning of the function, compare centralised, decentralised and hybrid models, review the procurement policy and the delegation of authority matrix, build a KPI dashboard, assess the internal controls of the purchasing cycle using the three lines model and the COSO approach, and develop the team and the function's strategic plan. With case studies, decision scenarios, hotspots, drag-and-drop activities, knowledge checks in every module and downloadable templates. Designed for procurement directors and heads of procurement. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
