Recommended prerequisite: PSC-251 Procurement and Contracting in Upstream Projects
In a major oil and gas capital project, the way the work is divided up and contracted often decides, before the first steel is cut, whether the project stays on budget and on schedule. In this advanced course you follow Projeto Coral, a fictitious offshore development, from FEED to contractor mobilisation. You will relate the project phases to contracting decisions, prepare the market during FEED, compare the EPC, EPCI and EPCm models, discipline contracts and alliances, divide the scope into work packages, control interfaces, allocate risks between the operator and the contractors, and plan the tender and the transition to execution. With decision scenarios, case studies, hotspots, drag-and-drop activities, knowledge checks in every module and downloadable templates. Designed for project, contract and procurement managers in the sector. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
