An angle grinder without a guard, the wrong disc or a spanner used as a hammer are behind many cuts, flying particles and injuries to hands and eyes. In this course you will learn to choose the right tool for each task, to inspect it before use and to take defective tools out of service. You will see how to use hand, power, battery, pneumatic and hydraulic tools safely, including angle grinders, and how to choose PPE and protect the people around you. Based on the ILO code of practice on safety in the use of machinery and on the IEC 62841 series as a reference, it includes examples from workshops, building sites and industrial facilities, interactive activities and an inspection checklist. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
