What exactly does human resources do? In this course you follow Ana through her first weeks as an HR officer at a company with an office, a factory and construction sites. You will see how the function has evolved from the personnel department to people management, what its mission is and how it can be organised, with an introduction to the three-pillar model. You will follow the employee life cycle, from attraction to exit, and the moments that shape the employee experience. You will get to know the main HR processes, with their inputs and outputs, and learn to tell what falls to managers and what falls to HR, using the RACI matrix, clear policies, ethics and confidentiality. The course uses ILO standards as its reference and reminds you that labour law varies from country to country. With interactive images, drag-and-drop exercises and decision scenarios. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
