A good hire starts with a good interview. In this course for managers and human resources officers, you will learn to prepare the selection interview, with a profile, competencies, an interview guide, a rating scale and a panel, and to conduct it in a structured way, with behavioural questions, the STAR method and situational questions. You will get to know the most common interviewer biases, such as the halo effect, similarity, first impressions and contrast, and the questions you should avoid and how to rephrase them, based on the principle of non-discrimination in ILO Convention No. 111. Finally, you will learn to take notes, score, reach consensus and decide with a comparison matrix in Excel, give feedback to candidates and protect the records. Includes scenarios with decisions, a checklist and downloadable templates. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
