Diversity is a fact; inclusion is everyone's choice. In this course for all employees and managers, you will learn to distinguish diversity, equality, equity and inclusion and to recognise direct and indirect discrimination, based on ILO Conventions No. 100 and No. 111. You will discover how unconscious biases and stereotypes work, how they influence meetings, tasks and promotions, and what microaggressions are and why they weigh so heavily. You will practise ways of stepping in respectfully, as a bystander and when the mistake is yours. Finally, you will apply inclusive behaviours day to day: giving everyone a voice, inclusive language, reasonable adjustments, the role of managers and how to report discrimination. With scenarios with decisions, a reflection exercise and a downloadable personal plan. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
