Why does a building site with good procedures still have near misses? Often, the answer lies in safety culture: in what people believe, what managers tolerate and what really happens when the deadline gets tight. In this advanced course you learn to diagnose safety culture with perception surveys and the maturity ladder, to practise visible and consistent leadership, to analyse at-risk behaviour with the antecedents, behaviour, consequences model, to design a behavioural observation programme that avoids the most common pitfalls, to hold safety conversations and recognise safe behaviour, and to measure and sustain change with leading indicators and a culture improvement plan. Aligned with IOGP Report 452 and ISO 45001 as references. With a continuous case at a fictitious construction company that works with contractors, scenario-based decisions and downloadable templates. The course is delivered in Portuguese.
